We have decided to write this blog to keep you up to date with Eccles Equestrian Ltd news, information and give you an insight into what we do from day to day. For our first post, we thought we would give you some background information on our company.

Eccles Equestrian Ltd horse transport was established at the beginning of 2015 by myself, Claire Eccles, from our base in Beccles on the Suffolk coast. We are a family company, primarily run and managed by myself and my husband-to-be, Rich. We have 4 horses of our own, 2 of which I show jump, (and 2 of which are retired) and one client's horse on livery. I have many years experience working in the international horse transport industry, having spent much of my career transporting hi-profile show jumpers to shows and tours across Europe and beyond, and driving as far as Morocco and Russia. I also spent many years working for an international transporter moving horses of all breeds, shapes and sizes, and importing large numbers of young stock. My extensive experience within the diverse equine transport industry has been invaluable in providing a high standard of service to our customers.

Eccles Equestrian Ltd's 3.5 tonne long stall lorry operates primarily in the UK providing local and national horse transport. We cater for everything from shows, house moves and stud work to beach and pleasure rides. I try to do most of the driving myself and value the relationships i build with our customers.

Your horses safety and comfort is our absolute priority. Our clientele is varied across multiple equestrian industries and disciplines, from international show jumpers to amateur/ leisure riders. Based close to Newmarket, we have many clients in the racing sector, and carry out a large amount of stud work and coverings during the breeding season. We are also in close proximity to the world renowned equine hospitals of Newmarket, and transport numerous referrals to these hospitals on a weekly basis, including 24 hour emergencies.

We like to think we are more than just drivers. We are always hands on at shows and will do our best to help you with your horses, celebrate with you and counsel you when necessary! Equestrian sport is certainly full of highs and lows at every level!

Equine transport and the logistics involved comes naturally to us after many years of experience. However we fully understand that some of our clients do not travel their horses often, have no transport of their own and can find the experience stressful. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes and requirements with regards to loading and travelling your horse. Some clients like us to completely take control of the situation, others like to load their horse their own way with their own methods. Transport shouldn't be a stressful experience for horse or owner so if you are feeling anxious for any reason, just let us know! We will be more than happy to talk you through any worries and tailor loading methods etc to suit you. Please rest assured your horses welfare is at the forefront of everything we do!
